I am not going to discuss US politics and fiscal management of US revenues in this thread. If you want to start a new thread, I’ll be happy to respond.
Please do start a new thread in the politics section, and in it you can explain what you meant in referencing Obama as one of the particular “elites who benefit from the submission; forced or not of others”.
don’t really have time right now to rehash who did what when in politics, so let’s save that discussion for another day
Sure, Mr. Lock and Load. Did you just want to do a drive by discount of Obama and then head for the hills? You’re the one that started with the political comment. If you have something bad to say about Obama, do it in a political thread and let’s go at it.

no need to be snarky Tim, I have several posts on the political sub-forum already
thanks Doug, and yes, that is an interesting emotional take on prejudice or pre-conconcieved ideas, but obviously does not address the internal conflict Muslims face in assimilating into our culture - thanks for the link
Recall that several of our Founding Fathers felt the same way about Catholicism: that allegiance to the Pope was not compatible with being a true citizen of democracy.

I suspect that if there is a God then He regards religion as stupid nonsense.

what do you suspect he or she would regard non-believers as being ?
I don’t understand why you find US Muslims so scary, when it is the Baptist fundies that scare the crap out of me. They have the means to do so much more damage to our country.

No different than those holding false beliefs, which includes all fundamental religions. Having a belief is meaningless to a god, if there is one.
I know of a few Moslems who got interested in the Unitarian Universalist church and joined it. Other than neither accepting the divinity of christ, they seem to have very different philosophies so it would seem that those who switched certainly assimilated.
Because all of your statements about Muslims assume the negative. If you replace ‘Muslim’ with anything else, it would be called offensive, demeaning and condescending (which it is, in fact).
