I was expecting something quite different when I started visiting these type of places. Rather than particularly reasonable and enlightened people for the most part I found people who strike me as quite ordinary, degrees notwithstanding (for shame). The same type of petty, self-centered, feeble-minded rabble that they are accustomed to ridiculing. They just happen to not believe in a religion, as if that is supposed to be a testament to their Exceptionalism.

What were you expecting super humans.  We all got our foibles, we are what we are.  A few folks who visit the same chat room, some more than others.  If you are looking for the elite guess your search continues…

Dont let it bother you. People who complain about the mediocrity of others are usually just insecure. If this person were truly something special he would add something useful to the conversation instead of spending time trying to tear you down. Have a good laugh and move on.

Citizenschallenge was just having a moment there. He’s not one of the evil ones, though he is paradoxically adept at allowing anthropogenic global warming deniers to gain so much steam that they might as well start calling him Mr. Anderson, running around in all non-cardinal directions waving their arms like they just found a Water Martian inside Jupiter.

Nice of him to not think something through.

I assume you mean banning, since it’s certainly in the offing based on the stupidity and snarkyness of your posts.  You have the choice of 1) straightening up and becoming a rational poster, 2) leaving by yourself, 3) posting more insults and silliness and being banned after the next infraction.

It’s Face_Palm. Pressing the reply button was easier than starting a thread. Made more sense too. Hopefully you log in soon enough to correct your mistake.

Folks don’t fall for these lurkers, BannedManReading, MMMasturbator, etc.  Most likely they are conservative posters trying to make CFI look bad. It’s a known tactic.  There are think tanks out there that pay these losers to post ridiculous crap on liberal leaning sites.  The purpose being that others doing google searches will bring up CFI when searching on words like torture, masturbation, you name it.  That’s how low conservatives have sunk.

And as they do more of it, we become more adept at recognizing and banning them quickly.

Perhaps creating a special thread in the Psychology forum, titled “Study of Deranged Individuals”. After awhile such a collection might make good subject matter for one of CFI affiliated colleges.
