Polio is nearly eradicated.

I try to accept that people may choose to believe in the supernatural, but I’m over it this morning.  There’s no way multiculturalism can excuse this kind of obscenity.  There’s no way to be tolerant of the aberrant methods of thinking taught by any religion.  I know I’m just urinating up a rope, being flatulent in a hurricane, beating my head against the wall, but I’m not saying it’s OK anymore, I’m not pretending it’s OK anymore.  If anyone tells me that some kind of sky daddy, sky mommy, sky %$#@$%$# anything exists, and is an influence in their lives, they do not get my full respect, and any support they get from me or relationship I have with them is qualified by my knowledge that their thinking is, in a fundamental way, flawed.

So much for the notion that fallacious beliefs cause no harm.

The grim truth is that these types of anti medicine/anti science attacks happen in many poor countries, and only a few incidents will be reported.

Many of the local people probably don’t see what the big deal is.

I wonder what the response will be, when this happens in Sweden or England?
