It is called imagination.  But feel free to tell us why you think it is something else. Please provide scientific support for your explanation.

Have you serious read my article? What is imagination of your mean? Normal individuals could perceive my consciousness, in a condition they can’t see me, and even in a condition that they are far from me, include my real time thoughts, what I’m smelling now, what I’m feeling now, without any known device, why do you think a word ‘imagination’ can explain it?

Because no one in history has ever proven that telepathy exists. If you think you can, you stand to receive a million dollars. Go here
http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html.  If you are sure your claim is true you should have no trouble demonstrating it. If you can’t, go away.

Otherwise, I and all other sensible people will continue to call it imagination—or worse.

Incidentally, the James Randi Foundation has heard every excuse known to man as to why a claimant can’t demonstrate his claim, so don’t think you are going to be able to snow them—or us.

Yang, Your blog is difficult to understand, as, clearly, English is not your first language.  But I gather that you are claiming that you have a unique ability (though not completely under your own control) to broadcast your thoughts and feelings to most people who have spent much time in your immediate vicinity.

But you provide no proof, other than your own claims that this phenomenon is actually occurring.  Do you have a list of people who are willing to verify and document that they have received your broadcast thoughts?  This would not be sufficient proof for such an extraordinary claim, but it would be a start.

Without some sort of evidence, I think that most people are likely to presume that you are simply suffering from a psychiatric disorder.  This would be my first presumption, but I am open to clear evidence that the phenomenon actually occurs, if you can provide it.

One of the problems is that many of us are surprised when something happens that seems to indicate that we have a degree of telepathy.  This bothered me many years ago, and on further reflection I realized that we all have the “Sherlock Holmes” ability to see tiny clues, put them together and arrive at a decent conclusion, albeit unconsciously.  We seldom see how we did that, so it appears that we read the mind or other outside unknown events such as a card before it’s turned over.

Certainly, we pick up a lot of information from others, whether we are aware of it or not, simply by observing subtle facial expressions and body language, and even by subtle changes in tone of voice.

Also, as we get to know a person better, we can make reasonable guesses about what they might be thinking about, based on what they often say they think about.

So if I know someone, who has often told me that he visualizes a naked figure surrounding him, and he one day asks me what he is thinking about, I might say “a naked figure, surrounding you?”

We are able to “second guess” what someone is thinking by, as you and Occam pointed out carefully studying what has been labeled body language. The figure has been amended from over 90% to 65% nonverbal communication. Psychics use this to their advantage every day. That plus simply deductive reasoning (a la Holmes) gives us the ability to pick up on an opponent’s thought process. e.g. Poker, hence then"poker face”, and chess. It’s pretty easy to see that your opponent is in a tight position just by observing his behavior, and it does give you an edge. Once again, science not supernatural mumbo jumbo.

And he’s liable to say, “Wow, you read my mind.”  LOL

I noticed it first when I was playing solitaire as a kid.  I’d think, maybe, I need a red six, and sure enough the next card I’d turn over would be a red six.  Aha, I must have seen it telepathically.  Then, as I got older (7 or 8) I began to realize that a) most of the cards were already turned over so the probability of the ones I was thinking of was far higher than 2 in 52, and b) that I didn’t bother to recall all the times when the card I’d like didn’t turn over.

Why not give me enough chance? In the past 10 years, I always could find people around me can perceive my consciousness signal, no matter where I moved to.
And I decide to go to the USA challenge James Randi. Finally I’ve been to the USA now, I stay near Los Angeles now, I hope you would like give me enough chance and time to prove the phenomena.

There are two ways you may investigate me.
1. Let me stay near your for some days, it is highly possible that you can perceive the signal.
2. Visit my neighbors ask whether them could perceive the signal. I stay in los Angeles for a few days , and I’m sure people around me could perceive the signal.

Give me enough chance and time please, I beg you.

The aim I come to the USA is to prove the phenomena happens, I hope you can give me enough chances, to stay near your community for a few days.
Or you can visit my neighbor to ask them whether they can perceive the signal.

I’m sure almost every Chinese stay near me could perceive the signal. Language differences make I don’t know whether a USA people could perceive the signal, so I need you give me enough chances and times.

Show it to the James Randi Foundation. If they say it has merit we’ll look at it more closely. If you want people to accept your claim, you need a credible, knowledgeable person or group to say you have something worthwhile.  Your next door neighbor isn’t going to do the trick. There are billions of unsupported claims out there and every one of them has a friend or neighbor who will swear it’s true.  You need to show some valid scientific backing. Otherwise your claim will land on the trash heap with all the other billions of unsupported claims. If you have nothing to show that your claim is any better than all the others intelligent people are not going to waste their time on looking at it or discussing it.

Yes, that’s confirmation bias and we’re all susceptible to it.

Why should we give you a chance instead of the billions of other people who make the same empty claims and who are just as sure of their claims as you are of yours?

The James Randi Foundation will give you a hearing. And if you can prove your claims there is no better publicity you could get than to have James Randi Foundation say you have done it. You are wasting your time going around trying to prove your claims to individuals. Show them where they will do some good if you can prove them. It’s the best publicity you could possibly get.

So, don’t CFI have interest to give me a fully chance and investigate me?
So, why your pseudoscience and the paranormal forum exist?
I go to your community center and prove the phenomena to you, is that something wrong?

Just because my English is poor, I’m afraid to go to the amazing meeting only 3days, I don’t know whether the time is too much short. It’s hard to me to talk to James Randi, so you may help me if I could prove the phenomena to CFI first.

You don’t have to take it to The Amazing Meeting. In fact, you would not get anywhere taking your claims to the meeting because their agenda has already been set. Contact the James Randi Foundation itself. You have a lot of work to do before you could present your claim to TAM.

James Randi’s website says this, “Before today, applicants for the prize were required to submit press clippings and a letter from an academic to demonstrate the seriousness of their application. Now, applicants will only have to submit one or the other—demonstrating that somewhere, at some point in time, some independent person has taken their claim seriously. Applicants who cannot provide this evidence have a new, third option: submitting a public video that demonstrates their ability. The JREF will choose some of these video applications for further testing. This option gives potential applicants without media or academic documentation a way to be considered for testing, and allows the JREF to use online video and social media to reach an even wider audience with the Challenge.”

Go here: http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/jref-news/1239-mdc-changes.html

Or take it to CFI. But this forum is not CFI. It is simply an Internet discussion forum sponsored by CFI. We have no ability to assess your claims. Talk to the people who run CFI and CSICOP, not us. You are wasting your time trying to demonstrate your claims to us. Go to one of CFI’s CSICOP meetings. You can find out where they are by looking at the CFI website. CFI is equipped to assess your claim—we are not.

You will find contact information on these websites.
