DJ & Tom, thanks for this one. As a victim of serial sexual abuse by priests I appreciate whenever I see light being brought to the subject.
Tom Flynn’s piece mentioned the statistics of the USCCB but failed to mention that their number is disputed by victims groups. Also while they present a face of trying to address the problem, behind the public scene, in the presence of victims the Church remains horrible. It also seems that since that 2004 report the church has back-peddled on their promises of reform.
