Highly recommended interview—only problem is it left me wanting more, it was all too short. Hope there are plans afoot to have him on again. But whatever, he’s always an extremely interesting and articulate thinker.

Finally got the time to listen to it and agree it was much too short.
Which of course means I enjoyed it immensely.

I’m totally sick of the whole nature Vs nurture debate which in my opinion is just an ongoing rerun of Voltaire Vs Rousseau. More driven by ideology than science.

So it’s refreshing to hear something a little more scientifically reasoned.

i would have some questions to pose Dr. Pinker

I would have some questions to ask of Dr. Pinker.

I do hope he gets invited back again. The interview was very good.

Among the things i’d like to know more about is how he can explain how hormones “know” when to be released, in men and in women during development in the womb, growth in childhood, puberty, sex, delivery, lactation, stress, anxiety and so on…

Another question i would want to ask him has to do with a book i read about a decade ago is written by Robert D. Hare, Ph.D., a book about psychopaths,  called Without Conscience. Namely why would such humans be born with such regularity? I believe it is one in 100. I think Dr. Hare or maybe it was his assistant who postulated that these people have sex and “take off” with just about anybody, which would help those people procreate who would otherwise never have a chance to.

Is there a way to contact Dr. Pinker directly? I also have a question that has to do with music recognition, but is too complicated to write right here.
