People who say they believe in such nonsense are much like those who believe in gods, devils, angels, etc.

Who says it’s just “water memory”

http://arstechnica.com/science/2014/03/homeopathic-remedies-recalled-for-containing-real-medicine/

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recalled homeopathic remedies made by a company called Terra-Medica because they may contain actual medicine—possibly penicillin or derivatives of the antibiotic.

Terra-Medica creates a range of homeopathic capsules, suppositories and ointments under clinical-sounding brand names including Pleo-Fort, Pleo-Quent and Pleo-EX. The FDA has found that 56 lots of the drugs may contain penicillin or derivatives of penicillin, which may have been produced during fermentation. This is a problem, because Terra-Medica says that its products don’t contain antibiotics.

Too bad the water cure doesn’t work.  Else they could cure all the babies in Flint, MI, of their brain damage by only very, very, gradually decreasing their water-borne exposure to heavy metals.  (Which seems to be what they are doing anyway.)

As a fabrication of our own consciousness, our assignations of meaning are no less “real”, but since humans and the fabrications of our consciousness are routinely fraught with error, it makes sense, to me, to, sometimes, question such fabrications.

“Homeopathy successfully turns water into a placebo”
Best title for an article ever.

It is morally as bad not to care whether a thing is true or not, so long as it makes you feel good, as it is not to care how you got your money as long as you have got it.  Edmund Way Teale, Circle of the Seasons
