Yep, that’s me. I’m holding a eucalyptus leaf. The picture was taken by a friend of my mother when I was ~18mos or so. My mother always saw it as an archtype of the child-as-scientist, and since I became one by profession and sstill trive to maintain the sense of wonder and curiosity the picture seems to express, zi thought it a good choice for a site devoted to exploration and inquiry.

While we’re asking questions, I have often wondered what that big thing is hovering in the distance behind Cgallaga in his atavar!  Is that that a flying saucer?
