Ditto.
Obama pulled the Bush bus out of the ditch, but now people are complaining he made them be late for dinner.

Don’t let the name Trump get too deep into your psyche, CC.  You are even putting a “p” in “thumb”! grin

Oh sweet sweet naïve LoisL. It’s not that all those things were accomplished. It’s because they were accomplished by a black guy who’s ten times smarter than the average Republicon leader. That’s what they’re mad about. Just like when ugly as sin white guys couldn’t get the pretty white girls but smooth good looking “blackies” like Charlie Parker could. Pissed them off to no end.

I’m that getting cut and pasted quite a bit. Someone did a nice job.

It was written as a question to one of his facebook friends. I don’t expect to be seeing too many Trump supporters answering it.

The deficit itself was cut by $800 billion dollars. Has this caused your suffering?

Please explain the “The deficit itself was cut by $800 billion dollars. Has this caused your suffering?”

President Obama started in office with $10,626,877,048,913.00 of debt and ended with $19,947,304,555,212.00. Meaning the deficit was increased by $9,320,427,506,299.00. https://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/debt/current
This means President Obama barrowed and spent over three billion dollars more than he was taking in tax revenue every day he was in office. How can you claim that he reduced the deficit by 800 billion dollars when the U.S. Treasury claims he increased the deficit by over nine trillion dollars? Which means that the working person’s share of the national debt increased by $29,266.80 during President Obama’s terms.

I believe that Lois meant the yearly reduction in deficit spending, not the National debt.

Deficit, noun,
•an excess of expenditure or liabilities over income or assets in a given period;
“an annual operating deficit” ·

Here is an objective view of Obama’s accomplishments, in spite of Republican obstructions.

and here is the current record of Trump (in progress)

I use Politifact’s Truth-O-Meter a lot. Here is the main page,

Place it in your favorites for easy access. I think we’re gonna need to check this on a daily basis, the way the first month is going for Trump.

I hope he’s enjoying the Indivisible Movement as much as we enjoyed the antics of the Tea Party movement.  smile

Yes, thanks, Write4U, i didn’t write the piece, which is all over the Internet, but that’s probably what the author meant.
