Rep. Pete Stark of California declares that he is "a Unitarian who does not believe in a Supreme Being:"

This is being touted as a victory for atheists/agnostics, but aren’t the Unitarians a church, at least in theory? Maybe someone who’s a bit more familiar with Unitarians can explain this to me?
