Sorry to be so harsh. I do feel for the MSAT families—when all is said and done, it’s extremely disruptive and traumatic for teens and their families to have their school yanked out from under them.
Every time I look at the title of this thread, I wince, though. The school closed because of Envision, not because of NUSD, and it was unethical and dishonest of Envision to wage that little disinformation campaign (full-page ad in the I-J—puh-leeze).
If anyone could give me one decent reason why Envision turned down the Bayview site for Metro rather than paying 10x the rent for the Pacific Heights site, when the Bayview is the exact community Metro is supposed to be serving, I might give Envision a tiny bit of credibility, but every time I ask that, the silence is deafening.
And I think the anger around all this speaks to the inherent divisiveness of the charter movement.
