Has anyone else seen this debate?  I was hung up on Sharpton’s harping on the the title of Hitchens’ book.  He kept insinuating the book was about god, and I was frustrated that Hitchens wouldn’t point out the title was nothing more than a play on the muslim cry ‘god is great’.  The concept of the book was in the subtitle, and I kept expecting Hitchens to shut him up with this point.

Haven’t seen the debate ... just finished reading Hitchens’s book though. It is about god ... and about the evil done by organized religion in god’s name.

I think the book is about the detriment to society in general that religion brings about.  For instance, there are many references to buddhism.  His book is an attack on religious dogma and how those that practice it affect others, not an attack on a belief in god itself.
