The Channel4 makes the cable tv worth paying for.

I enjoy Dawkins production. I think “Climbing Mount Improbable” and “The Devils Chaplain” are two greats books. I bought ‘The god delusion’ in spanish and the translation prevents me to understand it (I am against death penalty, but I guess I could accept an exception with the translator ...).

I also enjoyed “The root of all evil?” and I think RD showed himself as very tolerant in this video. I guess I couldn’t have talked with the guy defending the preacher executed because the murder of a physician in the friendly way he talked. Only with Ted Haggart and the muslim he loses his friendly manners (I guess it is the minimum effect this two guys would produce in almost every person)

Also I like his methapor to support his idea that teaching religions to child is a kind of abuse. Recently I have seen him in a video showing a picture of three little girl. One of this girl was christian, the other muslim and the other jewish. He wondered why we find it perfectly acceptable and we would find terrible to say that one of the girl is comunist, the other monetarist and the other keynesianist.

somewhat off topic, why are anti-abortionists such staunch supporters of the death penalty and war? ive noticed that nearly every “christian” I encounter holds those contradictory views (usually because the man in the pulpit tells them to).

I had steak and kidney pie and chips.

And yes, it was very good.

As was Dawkins!

Quite polite for him.

I didn’t tape it and wouldn’t have time to post it on youtube - am going back to Ireland tomorrow for a week and haven’t yet packed.

Pie and chips, eh?  You’re not from Wigan, by any chance?

I French kissed Dawkins.

He was very illuminating.

But, Christopher Hitchens tastes better . . .

No, my satire aside for one minute.

I think that Dawkins is great. I don’t think he’s wonderful. I think he has errors in some areas and not in others . . . But I’ve seen better. Like myself, for example.

Dawkins is a great Louisiana Judge, two-times over. Dawkins is a great football player and coach. And Dawkins is a great singer, baseball player, biologist, atheist, septic tank, politician, archaeologist, geologist, writer, and Dawkins is a great ex-wife.

But he needs to stick to one persona. He’s confusing me. That Dawkins is.

Close, but no cigar.

I spent a few years of my youth in Stockport and the pie habit has stayed with me!

I’m now a shandy drinking Southerner. Down on the south coast between Portsmouth and Southampton for the last 12 years or so.

And I still haven’t found a decent chippy down here. Mushy peas and gravy have so far eluded me! And I’ve only found one chippy that does black pudding.

In a vain attempt to get this back on topic, I bet if Prof. Dawkins ran a chippy he’d do thick gravy and only fry his chips in lard! wink
