Dr. Carl Jung, (psychologist) worked with Professor W. Pauli, Nobel laureate-physics, from
1932-1958. The letters between them were published under the title, “atom and archetype” -
and include their conclusions about mind and matter.  The main theories relate to the
nature of “acausal connections” - which Jung termed ‘a synchronicity principle’ ....
Basically when two or more unrelated events come together will a common meaning, especially true when number symbolism appears, since Jung and Pauli agreed that number is the most
primal archetype of order in the human mind, i.e., pre-existent to consciousness.

I’ve had a number of these unique coincidences, and finally got researchers at Princeton
University, School of Applied Science, to comment on the material.

The following is a prime example of an acausal connection, i.e., “meaningful coincidence.”

Around May-June 1988., I was browsing at my local library. I noticed the book, “Star Signs,”
which included the numerology system called “Chaldean.”  I thought this system might be
useful in some way, and kept a copy of it on my nightstand. http://www.crystalinks.com/numerology.html

Some 4 months later, on October 10th 1988., I had the following dream….

“I’m in a classroom, where a teacher, (woman) is talking about astronomy.  The scene
changes to a field, where two bears are romping, and a duck is flying overhead.”

I thought it might be possible to interpret this dream, and finally came up with 3 symbols.

Ursa Major, Ursa Minor and Duck….

I then had the thought to convert the symbols into number value, using the Chaldean
numerology.  The numbers were: 4.6.32.15.31.27….

Some 12 hours later, these numbers related to the winning numbers drawn in the New York
cash “40”    , (    )

This news article offers some conclusions about this experience.

The star Kochab has a long history in mythology, with references dating to 2,467 b.c.e.

It, and a companion star are known as the Guardians of the Pole.

There are two meanings for the term Kochab. 1. The Star 2. Waiting Him that Cometh….

Kochab has exhausted its primary fuel, and I believe that it exploded in the past, and
the light and energy hasn’t reached us as yet. Its distance is currently estimated at
83 to 127 light years….

According to what I’ve read, the Mormons, (Book of Abraham) believe that a planet,
(Kolob) orbits Kochab, and that this represents the House of God….

Jung’s comments on the nature of numbers:

Since the remotest times men have used number to establish
meaningful coincidences, that is, coincidences that can be
interpreted.

There is something peculiar, one might even say mysterious
about numbers. They have never been entirely robbed of their
numinous aura. If, so a textbook of mathematics tell us, a
group of objects is deprived of every single one of its
properties or characteristics, there still remains, at the end,
its number, which seems to indicate that number is something
irreducible.

The sequence of natural numbers turns out to be unexpectedly
more than a mere stringing together of identical units; it
contains the whole of mathematics and everything yet to be
discovered in this field.

Number, therefore, is in one sense an unpredictable entity.

It is generally believed that numbers were invented, or thought
out by man, and are therefore nothing but concepts of quantities
containing nothing that was not previously put into them by the
human intellect. But it is equally possible that numbers were
found or discovered.. In that case they are not only concepts
but something more-autonomous entities which somehow contain
more than just quantities.

Unlike concepts, they are based not on any psychic conditions
but on the quality of being themselves, on a “so-ness” that
cannot be expressed by an intellectual concept.

Under these conditions they might easily be endowed with qualities that have still to be discovered. I must confess
that I incline to the view that numbers were as much found
as invented, and that in consequence they possess a relative
autonomy analogous to that of the archetypes.

They would then have in common with the latter, the quality
of being pre-existent to consciousness, and hence, on occasion,
of conditioning it, rather than being conditioned by it.

The problem:

There is no such animal as metaphysics…..Arthur C. Clarke

Dreams are junk science….......................Alan Dershowitz

Prophecy is a lost art….......................Carl Sagan

It’s a glorious accident….....................Stephen J. Gould

Quote: I would never commit the fashionable stupidity of
regarding everything I cannot explain, as fraud…..Jung.

We have placed our faith in subjective reality, and have
forgotten the wisdom of the ancients, that, in dreams we
pass into the greater truth, when we were the whole, and
the whole was in us; free from the shackles of “ego.”

In December 1983., a series of numbers appeared in my mind. They were: 1.7.8…11.31….28.39.

It isn’t difficult to figure out what this means.  Think, “INTELLIGENT DESIGN.”

Often when I’m not sleepy, I’ll put my laptop on my chest and play solitaire until I get tired.  I began to notice that I apparently had either precognition or was controlling the randomizing routine in my computer, because, when I would need a certain card, it was suprising how often it turned up.

As a sceptic I couldn’t accept this without checking it out.  I set up a spreadsheet to keep track of this.  Each time I wanted a specific card, I flipped over to the spreadsheet and entered that, including the total number of face down cards.  Then I went back to the game and turned up the card.  Back to the spreadsheet and entered that card that showed.  What I found was what I was afraid of - I didn’t have precognition or mind control.  The ratio of correct to incorrect calls was very close to what would be predicted by probability.  Damn.

The actual mechanism was that I remembered successes much more easily than remembering failures.  I think this is the basis for almost all cases of people doing things that seem to show special psionic skills.
