Does anyone know how to remove an old avatar and replace it with a new one? I tried removing the old one and replacing it with a new one but the old one was still there and the new one was nowhere in site.
Click on “Your Control Panel” above, and then “Edit Avatar” on the left. You can delete the one you have now and upload another if that’s what you want to do. I imagine that uploading a new one will also automatically delete the old one.
Thank you for checking in, Doug. It does say, size: 5.56. I went ahead and tried a much smaller pic that is only 54 x 73 at 2.03, but got the same message. I also cleared my temporary internet files, History, and logged out, then restarted to try a fresh go at it, but no dice. I only mention this because it may not be on my end, but I’ll give it another go in a little while. Thanks again.
Make sure you select the image on your computer when it gives you the popup screen. You have to pick out the image and then click “upload” (or something like that).
wonder if someone else may be encountering this problem, and if someone could be willing to delete their avatar then attempt to upload again to see if this really is on my end.
well, I just tried and got an error too, so it would seem that it’s NOT ‘just you’ ! (and the avatar was most definitely smaller than the max size)
