... to solve the drought problem in his state. Check it out HERE.

As Krugman says, “Faith-based government”. Or a 21st century rain-dance.

I’m sure he could find some unemployed indians to do rain dances, or hire some “rain-makers” to fire cannons into the air or spray silver nitrate solution into the upper atmosphere.

Nah, George, if sacrificing (devirginizing) virgins worked, Washington D.C. would be under twenty feet of flood water.

George - Unbelievable

From the article: Perdue, a Baptist, has enjoyed strong support from Georgia’s Christian conservatives.

THAT (“support” = $$$ and votes?) makes it believable. smirk

Occam - some unemployed indians

The Atlanta Braves?  They have nothing to do until Spring.

There will be religion as long as there will be money. (For a moment I thought it was all because of a fear of death…)

Funny news.  I forwarded that one to my friends.  I couldn’t find Krugmans responce on the second link though.

It’s a very short response, from his blog.

You got to remember Georgia is a largely conservative state, right in the heart of the Bible belt.  They organize prayer meetings every time we have a drought that goes on for a certain period of time.  And guess what, it eventually does rain, so it must be working! smile

I’m so sick of religion.  My older son says there is hope- “Christianity is on the out.”  I said, “Oh what?  They are shifting to Islam?”  He said, “No, pagan beliefs.”  rolleyes  Almost as bad.  He says the one rule they have is not to impose it on anyone.  sigh.  Well, that’s nice, dear.

Don’t tell me.  Wiccans have a ritual for rain too?
