I got you beat.

All the scientific discoveries, technological inventions, and world literature can be found in a small thing called “the alphabet”.  All that’s needed is to arrange the 26 symbols in discreet packets and all of the knowledge that ever was or ever will be can be found.  In fact, these 26 symbols (I call them “letters”) even formed your wordy, redundant Bible, from which you claim all science is derived.  I win.

Even better:  all those letters and symbols can be encoded in ones and zeros. So it all really boils down to this:

1
0

wink

All Hail Doug, the Messiah and Prophet of our Age!

Ha! Actually I can’t take credit for it. This insight comes from an essay by the philosopher WVO Quine, which itself was commenting on the wonderful short story by Jorge Luis Borges on the Library of Babel. (Which library was said to contain every possible book).

Hmmm… let me quote from the original post:

“... Purely from a mathematic point of view, there are not enough bits of information in the Bible to cover all of modern scientific knowledge (part of which is scientific research of the Bible itself) ...”

I did learn some of Shannon’s Information Theory grin

The problem is the all those ones and zeros, and all that letters of the alphabet that they represent are not the world itself.  They are simply descriptions of the world made by people in reference to it.

Absolutely. One should never confuse the description with the object. Where do you think this was being done?
