I clearly feel your pain.  These are frustrating times (when have they ever been better?) But there is no point in being defeatist.  This ScienceDebate2008 idea is an excellent one.  One that a significant percentage of voting Americans could get behind.  Not just non-theists, but religionists who value science as well.  IMO we should do whatever we can to support it.

However serious she may be (or may not be), just remember that the republican opposition is comfortable being vocal against science.  Hillary… Obama… they democrats have most certainly got my vote.
