We participated in this when Opportunity and Spirit went to Mars. I, my wife and kids and the whole family put our name on those discs. Its really somethin to think they are now sitting on the Martian surface. After the two landers set down the rovers took photos of the landing platform and you could actually see the disc. You couldn’t read your name of course since its all in binary code imbeded in the disc but it really made you feel like you had in a way touched the surface yourself.
Kepler should change history. Since this is the closest I’m ever going to get to space travel I’ll definitely be going along again. Thanks for the link.
