She might just be really intelligent and able to recognize patterns.

Isn’t macro-economic analysis essentially the same thing?

In the end though, it seems to me that she is a bail out for executives afraid to make decisions. Since many decisions executives make are guesses anyway, at least she gets the ball rolling.

Perhaps she is evidence that executives should get pay cuts.
