I saw this today.  It was a cute movie - far better than most of the recent ilk.  However, the most important part of it was that it was taking place in 1934 America, deep into the Great Depression.  While we aren’t at that stage, it’s fascinating to see how many of the precursors are already beginning to occur.  If you see it, look for them.  While it’s cute and heartwarming on the surface, it’s scary if you look at the social causes and effects of a depression.

IIRC, factors were inequities between the rich and the poor, and widespread debt at all social levels.
