I remember reading in one of von Däniken’s books that when the aliens came after a long journey through vast empty space into our solar system they found life on the seventh planet—seventh from the outside. This is where the lucky seven originated. Von Däniken certainly had a talent.

Of course, that would be Venus. Pluto is not a planet ...

Either that or we have been wrong all this time not knowing that the lucky number is actually a six. 

That’s why it’s called science-fiction.  Like science, it’s amenable to change based on new information.
