Has anyone had a look at these Turkish UFO films? http://www.uberreview.com/2008/10/videos-turkish-ufo-footage-a-well-shot-hoax.htm
They look like shaky movies of someone’s bedroom lamp or maybe a model dirigible? Anyone actually know if there is any more information out there about this? I can’t believe how credulous the main media outlets are about these stupid films.

If you search YouTube for Kumburgaz (I presume the town the video was shot in) you get a few results.

There is an explanation video by the guy that shot it and someone who I presume a TV host of some sort. Link to video

I watched the explanation video and the one thing that struck me as odd is how they explained that it is “impossible” for the guy’s camera to record small, dim stars. This is after he talks about turning on a filter setting in the camera that enhances low light, which is why you’re able to see the moonlight reflected off the object. Not saying that’s proof its a hoax or anything, just saying its interesting.

the problem with movies like this is that they could be anything, including complete fakes.

they show, literally, a UFO—something unidentifiable in the sky. If we could identify it clearly as something unknown, that would be great, but with this kind of picture it’s difficult to rule anything out.  Too vague and scrappy.
