Is this some sort of secretive atheistic code?

Yes! I noticed that this morning, and totally mis-described as a “noodle monster”. What the heck??

I’m guessing they were looking for images to go along with the text on “experimental cooking” and found this one without recognizing its iconic significance. But who knows, maybe atheists really are everywhere….

I am suspecting that those who used the FSM image didn’t know about its meaning, as its origins (the specific one featured in NYT) can be traced to a website that actually discusses the making of the “monster”—specifically, its googly eyes. See here.

So they described our lord in this way????. Shame on them!!.

We demand and apology, we demand the stoning to death of the editor and a hughe indeminization (the important and non negotiable point in the later).

Quickly, lets organize and go to the NY times offices!. We in the rest of the world will protest on the US’s embassies!

Maybe we can get the Onion to cover our outrage.

The caption does say “Think, then eat.”  It could be a subtle plant by the knowing.
