I found one, it was there all along in my browser, Firefox 1.5 and it works like a charm.

I’d like to see a spell checker, and I bet other users would too.

Hi Nancy, If you install the Google Toolbar you get a spellchecker that works reasonably well on everything that you do while in the browser. I use Firefox as you can see from my prior note but I suspect it works in any browser that accepts the toolbar.

Jimmie,

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, I use my husband’s laptop, and he doesn’t like it when I change things around.

I guarantee he’d like this change but who am I to suggest something worthwhile to a man fixed in his ways ??

Suggest gently at just the right moment that he might like to see if the Google toolbar contains a spell checker. And then tell him - he’ll be thanking you forever for finding it cause it has lots more great stuff and you being a helpless woman just can’t install it without his help!!

That’s very strange. Maybe you should send a message to Thomas Donnelly through the Forum (He has posted in the Announcements section).

He is the Administrator for the Forum and might be able to help with technical issues. I know that the behavior you describe isn’t what my computer does.

Could it be a problem with cookies?

Just FYI: this is a holiday weekend in the US, so depending on how busy he is you may not hear back until next week.

Best,
