Bill Nye

I grew up never missed an episode.  Bill Nye is one of many reasons I majored in biology.  It’s great to hear he has a new show.  It’s odd how his coverage of science has grown with me.  I became ill when I heard in a recent stat. that almost/around half of America does not believe in evolution, I am glad there is someone out there educating the public, apparently our school systems are inadequate.

I enjoyed listening to Bill Nye’s interview.  I noticed he was very careful to qualify the American fundamentalist interpretation of Genesis “as written in English”.

I’m curious what other conclusions a fundamentalist could draw by reading the Bible’s texts in their original languages (as best we know them) or other translations.

After all, most of the Bible predates English by quite a long time.
