Hi,

I met Doug Smith at a CFI event, and he told me I should come over here and join the fun, so here I am. Wheres the tequila!

A quick history of Me:
I grew up with a whole lotta church in Independence, Missouri.
After I left home, I never gave religion another thought.
I experienced the horror of 9/11 from a street corner in lower Manhattan.
I then gave religion A LOT of thought.
I concluded that religion is an irrational belief in ancient fables that is threatening our very existence, and that my 11-year-old son may never grow old because of it.
I created an atheistic bumper sticker website, which can be viewed at http://rageonapage.com.
Im doing what I can to change the minds of the worlds billions of believers before its too late.
I could use that tequila now.

Glad to make your acquaintances. I hope we can all do something to fix this mess.

Hello from an old young member to a new slightly aged member. What that means: I’m young and have been posting here for a while and that I am 99% sure that you are older than me, but your new posting here.

Hello theatheistheretic,

I know from reading some of your posts that you are a sophomore in high school, so, yes, you are “slightly” younger than I am. I wish I’d become so enlightened at your age.

actually I was in 7th grade when I became an atheist.  I sometimes wonder if i was smarter back then.  Maybe its the high school laziness.

Welcome from the “other Moderator” - wish I was going to parties in Manhattan with you guys rather than here in Florida ducking hurricanes.

Thanks for the welcome Jimmie. It’s always amazed me that so many Christians consider NYC to be Sodom and Gomorrah,’’ and yet, for some reason, the South gets all the hurricanes and the Bible Belt gets all the tornadoes!

Years ago I had a great time when I visited the Keys (I don’t know if that’s where your name comes from). And I know for a fact that you guys are doing plenty of partying while you’re waiting for those hurricanes to come! :D

Its getting tougher and tougher to make it but if I went back to it it’d be a fun short life sort of like the happy life of F Scott Fitzgerald compressed into a 4 month time frame.
