WHAT:  A three-day conference on critical thinking, problem solving, leading and managing.

We will also be joined by Charles Duelfer, former head of the Iraq Survey Group and author of the Duelfer Report on Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. This is a special dinner event where Charles will discuss his activities as one of the few who had first-hand experience on the ground in Iraq, before and after the war.

WHEN:  3-5 February 2010

WHERE:  Crowne Plaza Hotel, Denver International Airport

WHY:  Critical thinking is good for everyone.  Everyone solves problems, but there are many impediments to good problem solving, research, analysis, or whatever you call it.  Get a refresher in critical thinking and discuss a methodological approach to problem solving.  If you think, research, and/or manage people who do, this conference is for you.  Charles Duelfer will be part of a special dinner event to discuss the Iraq WMD situation like you’ve never heard it - lots of critical-thinking fodder!

I think the problem with that whole idea is that leaders tend to be people that want followers to be dumber than they are.
