There was no history section on this forum, so I will post
it here instead.

I heard historian Jennifer Michael Hecht, the author
of _Doubt: _A_History: _The_Great_Doubters_and_Their_Legacy_of_Innovation_from_Socrates_and_Jesus_to_Thomas_Jefferson_and_Emily_Dickinson_,
interviewed by Krista Tippett on NPR this morning, and I
thought you would be interested in knowing that you can
download/stream/Podcast the interview here:

Ms. Hecht says, [0:31 in the macromedia audio stream] "The
great figures I love the most are the ones who continue
constantly to question.  They may decide for sure that
they don’t believe in God, but they don’t decide for sure
that they really know what the universe is all about.
They decide, for sure, that questioning is for them!"
