Prior to this year, I thought Homeopathy meant herbal remedies. Since learning what it really is I’ve become as disgusted with it as I am toward the local family who keeps losing children to prayer healing. For those interested in learning more about it before our Homeopathy discussion group on Monday, here are some good links:

Short and sweet:
http://www.howdoeshomeopathywork.com/

All the women in my family (Mother, Grandmother, Sister) are huge homeopathy fans. My mother-in-law as well. What never made sense to me while growing up, was they ascribed to diametrically opposed viewpoints, simultaneously. On one hand, they championed dilution through homeopathy. On the other hand, they also championed concentration though that herbalist doctor with the huge white beard… Weil I think. Apparently these did not conflict.

Nice links, and glad to see abother sceptic out there who has taken the time to evaluate the evidence and come to their own conclusions.

The sad thing is how many billions of dollars are being wasted on this stuff. Not to mention the people whose health is being compromised by relying on such a worthless practice.

I’ve had the same debate with love ones… “But it’s natural” they insist. Because only natural things can be good. Like spider bites. And earthquakes.
