A book that refutes evolution, reviewed by “Creation Ministries Intl.” Whose tagline is “Creation Ministries International
provides real-world answers to the most-asked questions in the vital area of creation/evolution, where the Bible is most
under attack today—Genesis.” I doubt that this is an unbiased opinion! I also doubt that Sarfati “. . . thoroughly exposes
the bankruptcy of Dawkins’ arguments and scrutinizes Dawkins’ methods, highlighting tactics which he deems are
unreasonable and illogical - such as frequently resorting to straw-man arguments.” Having read TGSOE I can confidently
state that there are few if any straw-men set-up to knockdown. This is typical creationist pandering to those who will buy
the book but have already made up their minds.
I’ve been waiting to see what the Christian response to Dawkins’ book will be, and this is just the start. Also expect to see fellow Christians, those who accept biological evolution fully, to combat their own, in regards to biological evolution of man from animal. Such evangelicals like Francis Collins who accept biological evolution fully.
Read the Dawkins book, loved it. I’m familiar with a great deal of evolutionary science and found even more interesting stuff in it.
One assumes the rebuttal book is full of the same recycled creationist arguments:
- DNA and information
- 2nd law of thermodynamics
- irreducible complexity (I bet the use the 747/hurricane in a junkyard example)
- biblical passages
- some more biblical passages
- then some more biblical passages
- followed by more biblical passages.

Hey presto, a “rebuttal”.
This is my favorite creationist argument, though it has fallen out of favor because if you actually know the 2nd Law you can squash a creationist argument
in no time and they now know that. I’ll see if the library has it and i’ll check it out to read it. I love a good comedy!
Interesting that the white king (evolution) on the cover of the book has fallen, while the black king (science) is standing. So where is the scientific presentation of the black side?

I’m sorry but I also don’t understand the symbolism.
In regard to “science” a comment on the Richard Dawkins net led me to this explanation of [ Baraminology ] on Wikipedia.
I have figured it out!
You see, the black King represents religion as a science. This must be so, because it is the only one left standing and is symbolic of the victory for religion. It must be so, cause Sarfati is a great chess master.
Thus religion is science and Dawkins is .......?? Wait a minute, that’s not right. I am so confused…...
