Kurt, the problem is that blocking IPs is a futile effort for anyone with a basic knowledge of trolling. We block them but he comes back with a different one every time.

My concern is the threat in the emails, which is sometimes specific to Mr. Shermer and contains threats of explosives or bombs. Hopefully it’s just a prankster hiding behind his computer, and not a mentally ill person intent on harming someone with homemade devices. I would contact the authorities, who can trace his computer easily to his home. Bomb threats are not funny.

The Boob is the same person who threatened P.Z. Myers last year. P.Z. took him seriously and reported him to the Canadian authorities. You should, at the very least, forward the threats to his Internet service provider. Contacting a Canadian legal authority would be a good idea too. He may or may not be dangerous, but his threats need to stop.

He also threatened Massimo Pigliucci. Believe me, people know about this loser, including people at CFI. I’d prefer not to give him more public exposure, though. He’s clearly mentally ill and looking for attention.
