How is it that folks that can proclaim so proudly, tend to go to ground so totally… when called on to defend, perhaps justify, their fantasies?
Guys, come on. Of course the Earth is warming. It’s the tail end of an ice age. It’s natural. Yes, there’s too much CO2 in the atmosphere, and the ozone layer is depleting, but if we cut off all CO2 emissions and hazardous chemicals, it wouldn’t change the fact that we are going to warm like crazy. Just part of the deal.

I just heard another consequence of AGW. Apparently, poison ivy and its two relatives have been growing much more rapidly across the U.S. and have more of the toxic oil on their leaves. According to the plant physiologist who works in this area, he said that while all plants respond to increased CO2 in their atmosphere, poison ivy seems to be most effective at extracting it and growing more vertantly.
You know, not all of the effects of Global Warming are necessarily bad. For instance, it could very well be blunting an ice age, which we’re apparently supposed to be coming up on. It also appears to be helping the rain forest regrow. And it could prevent deaths from cold. For some reason, nearly everything is deadlier in winter and even things like digestive disorders and heart attacks spike in the winter.
