This presentation will explore the evolution of Christianity from its early origins to an institution that dominated the failing Roman Empire. Who were the early Christians? What influences did the so-called "pagan" cultures have on Christianity? What do we really know about Jesus? How did Christianity become the exclusive religion of the Roman world? These issues and more will be addressed in this multi-media speaking presentation.

Just to follow up on this event, I’ll be posting a summary of it on my blog eventually:

http://www.rationalrevolution.net/blog/

About 30 people attended the event, many of whom were new faces. The facilities were okay, but I like Tiger Tale better.

For those that attended, what did you think about the time? Was it too long? If so, what sections could I cut out or move through faster? (Perhaps the beginning?) There were actually 3 or 4 points that I wanted to talk about that I missed, its simply a very large topic.

I am going to put together a flash animation version of this for the web, with voice over. I’m not yet sure how to divide it up and break it down into small pieces yet, but I’ll work something out. I do currently have a temporary version of the slideshow up on my website:

Thank you to those who helped out and attended.
