That was my reaction too. But after discussing the details of how they do it, I actually see it as a pretty good method… better than the electric chair, gas chamber, hanging… though i’d rank it lower than lethal injection. If the state is going to kill someone, the way Utah carries out death by firing squad I think is a pretty good method.
