Depends on whether that post it as part of their “online” content or not, the way FI sometimes does. I’ll keep an eye out and
let you know.

I’m in the same boat as Asanta.  What organization publishes it?

Never mind.  I just found their website and tried to sign up for membership and the electronic version of the magazine for $20.00.  It accepted my entry then said my total owed so far was $400.00.  I decided that I’d wait until they get that glitch in their web program corrected.  You may want to pass this on to them.

AA has a lot of glitches with their Web site. I’d e-mail David Silverman directly for a fix: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) (I think that’s it).

As for the magazine, someone told me there was a piece about the whole PZ/De Dora/Pigliucci situation in the last issue. Haven’t seen it in print myself, though I was forwarded the text of the piece, which is actually a transformed blog essay.

Maybe they should hire themselves a better webmaster.  Or a second one.

Or they could just pray the glitch away.

Or take the glitch and put it in some water, then shake the water around.  Then they take some of that glitch water, dilute it ten-fold, and shake it around some more.  Then take some of that diluted glitch water, dilute it ten-fold, and shake it around even more.  Repeat this many times.  Then take the water and pour it into the web server.  If that doesn’t fix it up, I don’t know what will.

I hope they can fix the glitch soon, I’d really like to read the article..but not at $400.00!

It seems to be summarizing a 2007 article with the same title, showing that since Ronald Reagan, the presidents including Clinton seemed to invoke “God” a lot in speeches.

However, even Dawkins notes that a lot of ministers know that it is mostly a metaphor.  The problem (as he notes) is that they don’t explain this to the audience in church (sort of 1st degree accomodationism).
