I first heard about Tesla in a physics class. The prof, who looked a lot like Igor from a Frankenstein movie had a small Tesla coil for demos on electricity. He also had a Vandergraff Generator which shocked him so badly once than he had a heart attack. He was a devotee of Tesla and taught us to respect static electricity. (thunderbolt and lightening, very very frightening, momma Mia!). Thanks for the info on outlets Jump. I also wondered how an arc welder works. I had a friend who welded for many years and it eventually blinded him.
