Hi. My name is Heather and I’m new to this CFI/CFA thing, so i just wanted to say hi.  Hi. I’m starting a CFA group at my highschool and if anyone has any helpful tips or whatever, I would love to hear them.

Love,
Heather :D

Welcome Heather! I may be totally obtuse, but what is the CFA?

I’m sure you’ve already checked out the CFI’s website. If you haven’t, check this out. There’s a lot of info there, and a lot that CFI folks can help with.

And congrats for getting involved in high school!

Best,

oh, you’re not obtuse, silly. CFA is the Campus Freethought Alliance. I’m not sure what the difference is between the two, but when they sent me stuff for starting my group at school, it said CFA on it.

Welcome, Heather…

Just FYI everybody, Campus Freethought Alliance (CFA) is now Center for Inquiry - On Campus.  Items with CFA on them and other materials are simply outdated and will eventually be replaced…

And Heather, good luck on the group in Orange County.  Most of my relatives live there (in Mission Viejo) and attend Rick Warren’s megachurch, Saddleback Ministries.  They even gave me some of his sermons in an effort to “save” me…  Well, there are plenty of wealthy, white, God-fearing Americans there for you to aggravate!

Now, now. We aren’t here to aggravate, after all. We’re here to teach and give an alternate—more thoughtful, rational and accurate—interpretation of the facts.
