Notice that I did not put this in the pseudoscience section as I do not claim any such thing.  Just some educated guesses, some long shots and a few fears.  I hope others will post their predictions for 2011 as well.

Deaths in 2011:
Nelson Mandela
Charlie Sheen
David Hasselhoff

Bill Clinton will be hospitalized for something serious.  He will be released after a few days.

Keith Olbermann will announce a run for political office.

Things in Egypt will get much worse.

It will be announced that the Space Shuttle will not be completely shuttered after it’s currently announced last liftoff on Feb. 26, 2011. 

A Congressman or Senator will resign under disgrace.

Simultaneous Islamic terror attacks on U.S. shopping malls or schools.

A nuclear detonation (not a radioactive dirty bomb), will occur somewhere either in the Middle East or on U.S. soil. 

And just to make sure I get at least one prediction correct…Oprah Winfrey will endorse some stupid crap!

I think Mubarak will step down and Egypt will be freed , but i hope they get a better democracy and justice

Only sure prediction.

Next year will be 2012; hopefully we will all be alive to see it.

I’m worried we will see the use of dirty bombs in Afghanistan.

I predict I will make pie.

I predict the NDP here in BC will get a better leader and we will get rid of the Liberals (that might just be wishful thinking). I’m sure none here care about that so much.

I predict the Tea Party will dwindle down even further.

I predict Glenn Beck will have a total meltdown, and no one will be able to tell the difference.

I more or less share your conviction on two of your predictions: Oprah and Egypt. The way events are playing out in Egypt, and knowing what I know about the inebriating effects of power, I don’t think Mubarak is likely heed to demands of the protesters. As much as I deplore violence, I think that (if care is not taken) is the direction in which events are going to take in Egypt.

As for Oprah, well, what more could you expect of a frivolous talk-show host.

A headline in 2011 will read similiar to the above but will state “Dispersants Used In BP Oil Spill Have Poisened the Atlantic Ocean”....  If a gallon of oil makes ‘toxic’ 3,000 gallons of water,,, and a “thinner/dispersant” makes toxic 300,000 gallons of water,,, how much time does it take to sterilize every animal in the ocean??

But it won’t be all bad news,,,, “Sweden/France Realize Governments Create Value,,, Print Money,,, World Saved”..

If misusing words like that meant not speaking English, no one would speak English. English is a hard language, tricky for most of us. You use it just as well as native speakers, from what I’ve seen.
