Thought I’d try to find non-religious people around northeast Ohio.  Moved here from California many years ago, and I was amazed at the quantity of churches… seems like one every block in some areas.  Didn’t figure there was any free thinkers in this state at all!

I’m hoping to find a local informal group just to be able to hang out with people who are like minded..  Perhaps discuss philosophy and morality in the absence of a magical being telling one what to do

Happy to have you here.  As Harry said, we do discuss those ideas.  I realize an Internet forum isn’t as personal as a face-to-face one, but it’s better than nothing.  I’d guess that non-thieists are more likely to be in the closet in Ohio, but there may be some here who could direct you.

Don’t know of anything personally, but Meetup.com has been pretty useful to me for finding groups.
