Stop irrational geomancy alterations
August 14, 2009
A delegation consisting of Dr. N. Innaiah, Chairman, Center for Inquiry India, Mr. T.V. Rao, Co-ordinator, Janavignana Veedika (A sister NGO Organisation), Ms. Swarajya Lakshmi, Mr. K.V.R. Reddy, Mr. Rama Brahmam, Mr. Chandra Sekhar met Ms. Galla Aruna, Minister for Roads & Buildings in the Government of Andhra Pradesh. They demanded that the government should not succumb to the pressures of Geomancy pundits to alter existing buildings to suit the blind beliefs of Vastu (Geomancy).
Of late several ministers, officials altered their office buildings and allotted residential buildings to suit their superstitious beliefs in Vastu. The government incurred heavy loss and the tax payer has to bear the burden. The minister agreed to the proposal and promised to avoid such irrational alterations in future.
