Why They Support CFI-Indiana
As a freethinking person and parent, I see CFI as my community. We come together to share ideas, to learn, to support each other, to do community service, and to enjoy time spent with like-minded friends. Together our kids are forming friendships in a nurturing environment of discovery and fun. These are some of the many reasons I support CFI with my time and energy, with donations as I am able, and with my whole heart.
CFI-Indiana is a valuable resource to the entire community. We have fascinating speakers, presentations, discussion groups, and social meet-ups. Like many, I grew up feeling alone and isolated because I could not accept the status quo without evidence. With CFI-Indiana, I have a great group of friends and a place where no topic of conversation is off limits and nothing is accepted just because “someone said so.”
As a longtime CFI Friend of the Center, activist, and supporter, I have made many friends and even met the love of my life at CFI-Indiana! The CFI-Indiana community means so much to me in friendships, activities, and growing as a humanist and as a person. I will continue to support CFI-Indiana personally and financially because it is the best group of people to promote reason, science, and secular values in Indiana!
Religion prevails in almost every place and in everything around us. I believe it is imperative that I counteract the negative aspects of religion with my time and money. Being a CFI-Indiana supporter and volunteer allows me to be part of a strong and vibrant local and national community with a powerful mission and a positive strategy.
