ACLU Annual Dinner

ACLU of Indiana's  2008 annual reception and dinner

“Restore American Democracy:  A Call for Change” has been chosen as the theme for the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana’s 2008 annual reception and dinner.  The reception and dinner will be held at The Marott, 2625 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, April 5, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Our keynote speaker will be Daniel Ellsberg, former Pentagon analyst who precipitated a national uproar in 1971 when he released the Pentagon Papers to The New York Times.  He has been a political activist since Vietnam, and his role as an unapologetic whistleblower has caused some to call him a traitor and others a patriot.  Ellsberg, a strict pacifist who opposes military aggression, rejects both labels.

Tickets can be purchased for $75 per person ($35 for students) in advance or at the door. Please RSVP by March 31 by calling 317-635-4059, ext. 233 or e-mailing .

We hope you can join us at our annual reception and dinner as we “call for change” to protect our civil liberties and restore our democracy!
