Secular Family Network/CFI Kids Activity: Fibers in History, Sunday, March 16, 3:00-5:00pm, Center for Inquiry-Indiana, 350 Canal Walk, Suite A, Indianapolis.

People couldn't always buy their clothes at the store! Early American settlers spun thread for cloth on a spinning wheel. But how was it
done before that? Come find out for yourself and learn how to use a drop
spindle--the way the Crusaders, Romans, Greeks, Phoenicians, and even cave man made their clothes. Touch and feel all kinds of fibers used throughout history. Personal instruction provided, plus a simple spindle and small bundle of wool to take home.

Secular Family Network/CFI Kids is for children and their parents. At least one adult must accompany their child/children. Susan Lantzer, Ann Bilodeau, and Kelly Grey are the coordinators of the SFN/CFI Kids
program.
