Dorothy Lobel King
Dorothy King is a Classical Archaeologist, who wrote her doctoral thesis on architectural sculpture, before moving towards work in Cultural Property. The two interests were combined in a book
The Elgin Marbles
(2006). After a post-doctoral fellowship with the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation in Athens, she has worked mostly with think tanks and as a Cultural Property adviser. Work on military archaeology in turn led her towards military history, and she is currently researching women as warriors in the ancient world.
