Women’s Atheist & Agnostic Group holds inaugural meeting at CFI-L.A.

July 10, 2014

On July 1st, the Los Angeles Women’s Atheist & Agnostic Group held its inaugural meeting at the Center for Inquiry-Los Angeles, led by artist Amy Davis Roth. CFI-L.A. executive director Jim Underdown welcomed the group of 24 women, who enjoyed drinks and snacks in a friendly atmosphere. Each of the women discussed her background and what led her to LAWAAG. The group also discussed favorite books, abuse targeted at women who identify as feminists online, and the group’s first sponsored event: an art installation that will be on display at CFI-L.A. in September.  The group spent the rest of the evening socializing.

LAWAAG meets at CFI-L.A. the first Tuesday of every month. More info is here: https://lawaag.com.
