Norm R. Allen Jr. is the former executive director of African Americans for Humanism and the Director of the Center for Inquiry/Transnational Programs. He has traveled to several countries in Africa to promote secular humanism and skepticism on behalf of the Center for Inquiry. He has edited two books, <cite>African-American Humanism: An Anthology</cite> (1991) and <cite>The Black Humanist Experience</cite> (2003), both published by Prometheus Books.
