 God the Failed Hypothesis

How Science Shows That God Does not Exist.

By Victor J. Stenger, Ph.D.

This lecture in based on Dr. Stenger's book God the Failed Hypothesis, that made the  New York Times bestseller list in March, 2007.   Dr. Stenger spent forty years doing research in elementary particle physics and astrophysics during the golden age of those subjects. In his last project before retiring, Stenger collaborated on the underground experiment in Japan that showed for the first time that the neutrino has mass. The Japanese leader of this experiments shared the 2002 Nobel Prize.

In this lecture, Dr. Stenger will show that there is no scientific evidence for the existence of God.  Dr. Stenger  argues that the evidence we have can be used to conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that this God does not exist.  Not only does the universe show no evidence for God, it looks exactly as it would be expected to look if there is no God.

This event is sponsored by the CFI Community of Miami and the Secular Humanist Club at Miami Dade College.  It is free and open to the public.

Books will be sold at discounted prices and signed by the author.  Checks and cash accepted.  There will be no shipping and handling charges and a 20% discount will be offered to all attending the lecture.   Friends of the Center (FOC) will receive a 35% discount based on the presentation of an updated FOC membership ID.
