The Cleveland chapter will host the Darwin Day program at the friendly confines of the Brecksville Library (9089 Brecksville Road, Brecksville) on Wed., Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. Paleontologist Glen Kuban will be presenting his program “On the Heels of Dinosaurs and Creationists.” Glen first became interested in paleontology while earning a degree in biology at the College of Wooster, but with a twist. He was a fundamentalist-leaning Christian at the time, and was hoping to verify certain so-called “out of place” fossils (such as the famous Paluxy River tracks in Texas) on the side of Creationism! Instead, Glen ended up documenting hard evidence contrary to creationist
claims, and discovered some new authentic dinosaur tracks in the process. His ongoing zest for paleontology caused a major shift in Glen’s thoughts about religion as well.
