The Cleveland chapter has interesting meetings in store for the remainder of 2017, with the annual Winter Solstice meeting in December capping another strong schedule of programs for the year. But first, members can enjoy the rescheduled Celebration of the Arts meeting and a science-based presentation on the relationship between the cosmos and humanity by Past CFI NE Ohio President Randy Pelton. The now-annual Celebration of the Arts meeting was originally planned for September, but our venue was pulled, so we'll try this again for October in a different location! The October meeting will be held on Tue., Oct. 10, 7 p.m., at the Garfield Heights Library (5409 Turney Rd, Garfield Heights). Note the day change from our usual second Wednesday. Do you paint or draw or do photography? Write poetry or prose? Play an instrument and/or sing? Sculpt or craft? Indulge in acting, creative dance, or the culinary arts? Or, are you a person who enjoys the artistic expressions of others? If so, be sure to attend this meeting! Any member of the NE Ohio secular community is invited to come and share his or her art, or to just come and enjoy the proceedings. Extra tables will be set up around the perimeter of the room for those who’d like to display their art, and a small sound system will be set up for music performance or poetry readings, etc. We’ll arrange time slots (beforehand or right at the beginning of the meeting) for those who’d like to talk about their art.
